RECIPIES

Bean & Rice:

 

Ingredients:
2 tsp sattvic oilve oil
1 onions chopped.
2 Cloves garlic chopped
¾ cup uncooked Sattvic Brown Rice
1 tsp sattvic cumin powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
3 ½ cup Sattvic beans boiled in enough water
Sattvic Rock salt to taste

Procedure:

    • In a pan heat oil. Fry onion till it turns golden brown. Saute garlic. Saute rice for 2 mins.
    • Add water and bring it to boil at low flame.
    • Cover till rice is cooked. Add all spices and beans and mix it well.
    • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

 

 

Healthy Sprouted Poha:

 

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Sattvic flattened Red rice ( Red poha)
1 1/2 cups boiled mixed sprouts (Sattvic Protein Plus Mix)
1/2 tsp Sattvic mustard seeds ( rai)
1 tsp Sattvic oil
¼ tsp Sattvic Hing
4-5 curry leaves
1/2 cup finely chopped onions , Tomato
1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies (less Spicy)
1/2 tsp Sattvic turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp Sattvic Kashmiri Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Sattvic sugar
Sattvic salt to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped finely chopped coriander for garnish

Procedure:

    • Wash the beaten rice gently. Drain excess water and leave aside for 10 minutes.
    • Add Salt and sugar and mix gently so that it gets mixed evenly
    • Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds. When the seeds crackle add curry leaves and hing.
    • Add the onions and green chillies and sauté on a medium flame till the onion turn light brown in colour.
    • Add the mixed boiled sprouts, tomatoes and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
    • Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder mix well and cook on a medium flame.
    • Add the soaked beaten rice and lemon juice and mix well and stirring continuously on a medium flame for more 2 mins.
    • Serve hot garnished with coriander.

 

 

Strawberry Phirni:

 

Ingredients:
3 tbs Sattvic Basmati Rice
Water
½ litre thick cream milk
1/3 cup Sattvic Raw Sugar
1/3 cup Sattvic Almonds, cashew (Halfs)
½ cup pure strawberry pulp

Procedure:

  • Soak 3 tbsp Basmati rice in water.
  • Boil ½ litre thick cream milk and grounded rice paste and keep stirring until it becomes really thick.
  • Add sugar, almonds and cashews. Turn off the gas.
  • Add strawberry pulp and fold it nicely. Set it in earthenware pots or bowls. Cool it in refrigerator.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberry slices.
